Isolation Transformer Flash

This  is  two  winding  device.  Functioning  of  this  device  is  to  isolate  the magnetic distortion  from supply. In  isolation  transformer  rating  ( voltage and current ) of both primary and secondary are same.

There are two type basic raw materials use in this transformer:-

1. C.R.G.O. / C.R.N.G.O. silicon steel laminations.
2. Copper winding.

Introduction
Isolation  Transformer  are  effective  for isolating sensitive equipment from voltage transient,  spikes,  noises and  DC  leakage  etc.  They  are  specially  designed for sensitive equipment and preventive such disturbance generated  by  the  noisy equipment,  load from being injected into  the  power  line. The  multiple  shielding technique employed in isolation transformers reduces the inter winding capacitance to a level below 0.005 picofarad  and increases  DC isolation to over 1000 M ohms. Isolation  Transformer  provides  electrostatic shielding,  attenuate common mode noises  and   minimize  transverse  mode  noises.  Three   single   phase isolation transformer,  may be connected  in star configuration  to get three phase isolation transformers. Isolation transformer can also be used for voltage conversions of 230 to 230 /115/110 Volt , 415 to 415/230/220 Volts AC.
